I think it’s easier to be open-minded about the atmosphere, etc., when you’re a resident of Portland and have traveled. That being said, I like the homey feel and personality of the owners coming through. I like this place. It’s directly on the train line, an easy hop-off, hop-off. I was pleasantly surprised by the authentic homemade hot sauce(s). Hot was hot! It took me straight back to Mexico. It was the first thing I noticed. The prices were reasonable for this area. The pastries, horchata, and everything else we tried were delicious. I’d like to see them stick around and thrive, so I’m throwing in my two cents. We will definitely visit again. It’s my son’s new favorite.
